Change in Emergency Notification System

The City of Dyersville is changing to a new emergency notification system. We are replacing the Code Red system with Alert Iowa which is the state’s and county’s emergency notification system. The City of Dyersville will use Alert Iowa to send notices via phone, cell phone, text, email or social media about water service interruption, street closures, snow emergencies, flooding, and many other items. Alert Iowa provides weather alerts from the County and allows you to choose how you receive alerts.  You can also provide information to help first responders in emergency situations.  This is a free service and landlines will automatically be registered into the system. Your information is private and only used for notifications.

If you are currently receiving notifications from the City of Dyersville, you MUST register with Alert Iowa by October 1, 2022 to continue receiving notifications. You can sign up today by selecting Dubuque or Delaware County alerts at Alert Iowa or downloading the Smart911 app to your phone. You must select “City of Dyersville” option to receive the city notifications. The City will not be able to register you as an online account will need to be created with a username and password.

Please feel free to contact city hall at 563-875-7724 if you have any questions.
