All property owners and occupants within the City of Dyersville are required to maintain vegetation—including weeds, vines, brush, bushes, and non-purposefully planted trees under three inches in diameter, as defined in State Code Chapter 17—from April 1 through November 30.
A notice will be issued identifying the vegetation that must be cut or trimmed. Owners and occupants will have three days from the date of the notice to complete the required work. If the vegetation is not addressed within this timeframe, the City will arrange for the service and invoice the property owner for the cost, along with a $125 administrative fee.
Invoices not paid within 30 days will be assessed to the property owner. Only one notice will be issued per season; it will remain valid for the entire period, and any subsequent violations will be serviced and billed automatically.
