About Police

Every community strives to be safe. Dyersville is no exception. With the professionals in the Police Department, citizens can know that their needs for safety and security are being taken care of by a committed group of people.

The Police Department is staffed by six full-time officers, three part-time officers and two bike officers (college interns) during the summer months.

The Police Department serves as a resource to the community. Their responsibilities include: traffic enforcement, criminal investigations, dispute mediation, accident investigation, crisis intervention, animal calls, school and youth programs, radar and security checks for businesses, gun safety, and community event support. They work with county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to provide the services that citizens need to live comfortably and safely in Dyersville and the surrounding area.
